Achievements

CONRAD B. DUBERSTEIN MEMORIAL NATIONAL BANKRUPTCY MOOT COURT COMPETITION

The team of Tray Hairston and Ashley Nader won the national bankruptcy moot court competition. Jonathan Bissette assisted in writing the brief.
Kelly Hollingsworth and Amy Strickland were national semifinalists. Clifford Ammons assisted in writing the brief. The team came in third overall.
Additionally, Ashley Nader and Kelly Hollingworth received Best Oralists Awards.
Amy, Kelly and Clifford were also recognized for a best brief award.
MC was the only school with two teams in the top 4 and the only school to receive two best oralist awards-- not to mention a best brief award.

The teams were coached by Bill Leech and Danny Ruhl of Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush and were advised by MCSOL Professor Gordon Christy.


AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF JUSTICE STUDENT TRIAL ADVOCACY COMPETITION REGIONALS (AAJ... formerly ATLA)

Eric Brown, Drew Emerson, Isaiah Castilla and Lauren Cliatt competed in the Dallas, Texas Regional this past weekend and placed third (3d) overall. This is the first time Mississippi College School of Law has ever placed at this competition, and the team was undefeated (3-0) and ranked second (2d) overall heading into the competition's final day.
The team was coached by Rogen Chhabra of Tabor, Chhabra & Gibbs, who was assisted by Carlos Tanner, law clerk to Judge Henry Wingate of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
