Email
Students will be issued an email address that will be used for all academic purposes.
Click the following link to check your campus email: webaccess.mc.edu. This page also contains information regarding how to change your email password.
Your username is the first part of your email address. For instance, joeuser@mc.edu has the username of joeuser. From this point on, this part of your email address will be referred to as your username, login, or your Novell username/login. Your school email account will remain active until one year after your last date of registration.
Everyone is given a Novell password and a GroupWise password. The Novell password will be used to do any account maintenance, web page transfers, computer lab access, library computer access, and various other tasks (online phone directory). The GroupWise password will be used strictly for checking your mail. We suggest that you keep matching passwords to avoid confusion.
There are several ways to check your new email account:
You must use your Groupwise login and password for all email purposes.

SMTP server:gwsmtp.mc.edu
- IMAP Mail Client - IMAP server:gwimap.mc.edu
- GroupWise Client*
The GroupWise Client is available for download at http://www.mc.edu/mcnet/admin/ . However, it is a large file, so don't try it unless you are using a high speed internet connection.
*Your mailbox has a limit of 50MB. If you reach this limit, the system will still allow you to receive incoming emails, but you will not be allowed to send emails out until you reduce the size.
