he mission of the Mississippi College School of Law Library is to support and promote academic excellence. Our goal is to provide the latest information necessary to support the Law School's curriculum and the scholarly activities of the students and faculty of the Law School. The Law Library is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries and is a selective U.S. Government depository library.
Another of our goals is to provide fast and efficient service. The Law Library staff assists students and faculty with locating pertinent information by using the latest technological techniques. The Law Library recognizes the Law School's responsibility to the legal community and the public by providing access to the library's collection. To broaden all patrons' knowledge of the library, the Law Library staff teaches methods and techniques of legal research.
The Law Library has a collection of more than 347,000 volumes and is committed to acquiring materials for both the immediate and the long term needs of the Law School. Emphasis is placed on development of the collections of statutes, legal periodicals, federal and state legislative materials, reports of all federal courts and all state appellate courts, Federal administrative agency materials, specialized looseleaf services, and microforms and treatises which support our mission. The Law Library also has started digitally archiving some materials, including the Mississippi Appellate Court Video Archive and the Mississippi Appellate Court Brief Archive.
