Professor Angela Mae Kupenda was honored as a visiting scholar at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, Gainesville, February 18 - 21, 2008. She delivered a public lecture titled, "The State as Batterer," using domestic violence law and literature to address America's family like race dysfunction. She also discussed her work with law faculty as a Special Tea Time Guest, and with law students at a luncheon. Pro. Kupenda's travel was co-sponsored by the University of Florida's Center for Children and Families and their Center for the Study of Race and Race Relations.
