Cecile Champion Edwards

Professor of Law


Cecile Edwards is passionate about teaching and improving Mississippi’s business law. She joined the faculty in 1982 after practicing in the areas of Banking and Corporate law. She currently teaches courses in Business Associations, Agency, and Securities Regulation. Her scholarship focuses primarily on corporate and securities law, but she has also published articles on legal ethics and animal research. She regularly serves on committees studying and revising Mississippi business law. Professor Edwards is committed to MC Law’s study abroad programs. She founded the study abroad program in Seoul, South Korea and currently teaches in the Transatlantic Summer Program, a joint program with the Law Faculty of Université Catholique in Lille, France.
