Dean Jim RosenblattThis is an exciting time for Mississippi College School of Law. Our new Law School campus is complete and is now in use. All classrooms and seminar rooms are high tech with the latest in audio/visual capability. We are a wireless campus to permit rapid connection to the internet. Our physical facilities provide an attractive and comfortable venue for outstanding teaching and studying. Our location in the capitol city provides many opportunities to engage with the local bar and judiciary.

Capitol Building, Jacskon, MississippiOur class that entered in August 2008 is a superb one. It is our most diverse class with students representing 26 states and 86 undergraduate schools. The competition for admission was most keen this year.  I enjoyed meeting these students during orientation and seeing the promise and potential they offer. Our 2008 graduates recently took the bar examination and are making their entry into the legal profession. Our alumni continue to distinguish themselves in the practice of law, government, politics, and business. We were pleased with the success of our national moot court teams this past year, especially winning the Duberstein Bankruptcy Competition in New York City. There is an energy and dynamism at our Law School that is pervasive.

Mississippi College School of Law is known for its caring faculty and staff who have an unusually high degree of interaction with our students. Our resident professors are superbly qualified and are supplemented in specialized areas by an adjunct faculty that includes respected practitioners and judges from the area. Integration of theory and practice is a well-known tradition at our Law School. Our foundational curriculum provides a superior grounding in the law coupled with a wide variety of electives. Opportunities for skills training abound. Our students consistently express their appreciation and satisfaction with their legal education and their law school experience and find themselves well prepared to begin their legal work.

We offer a wonderful educational value -- our tuition is one of the most reasonable for private law schools and we offer generous merit based scholarships. We now have a guaranteed tuition rate that will not increase during the three years of Law School. Our "whole person" admissions process does more than index LSAT scores and GPA and considers factors such as character, life experiences, drive, and leadership. Our next application deadline is June 1, 2009.

If you are committed to the study of law and have those qualities we seek in our well rounded law students, I encourage you to consider Mississippi College School of Law for your legal education and training. We welcome your inquiries and would be delighted to answer your questions and provide additional information about our curriculum, faculty, career placement, and scholarships.
